The Hangar Theatre Lab Company summer design training program was created to provide emerging designers the time, space and resources to practice as a designer rather than a technician during the summer. Designed for advanced students the mission of the program is to challenge, nurture and support the young designer in a repertory environment with other emerging professionals in preparation for a career in design.

The Hangar Theatre Lab Company provides Designers:

Nine assignments as principle designer
Four designs in the Wedge season (including 3 new plays)
Five designs in the KIDDSTUFF season (including the Fall School Tour production)
Five assignments as assistant designer for the Mainstage Season
Opportunity to design plays directed by Drama League directing fellows
