The 2009 summer season will mark an ending and a beginning for the Hangar Theatre.  It will be the last season in the old theatre before its massive renovation.  It also marks the first season with Artistic Director Peter Flynn who comes to the Hangar with extensive experience as a director and teacher, and is a prominent force in the development of children’s theatre.

For his first season with the Hangar, Flynn will continue the Hangar’s tradition of offering a dynamic variety of plays and musicals, combining compelling new dramas with recent Broadway hits, delightful comedies and joyful music for the whole family. “It’s our responsibility and privilege to spark the community’s fascination with the world around us,” says Flynn.  The 2009 summer season will be announced November 3rd at the Hangar’s “Moonlight and Broadway Magic” gala.
