Hangar Teens

Hangar Teens (ages 11-14) >> Hangar Teens’ outstanding theatre program offers a combination of excellent teaching, small classes, exciting direction, and quality performance experiences. Hangar Teens is centered on enhancing skill, encouraging cooperative work, and nurturing self confidence. Hangar Teens is an incredible opportunity for boys and girls ages 11 through 15 who are looking to take their theatre skills to the next level.

Hangar Teens is comprised of two three-week sessions. Students can participate in both sessions or choose just one. 

Session 1: Acting Intensive July 19-August 7

A full day program where students receive the complete theatre experience by learning a full range of acting techniques that are applied to the rehearsal process and performance at the end of the session. Students take core acting, movement and voice classes along with workshops led by artists from the Hangar Theatre.  All students participate in a production of The Odyssey 2.0, a new modern adaptation of the classic Greek myth created specifically for this program, performing on the Hangar Theatre’s Niederkorn Stage on August 7!

Tuition: $750

Session 2: Musical Theatre Performance August 9-August 28

A full day program where budding singer/actor/dancers get the opportunity to hone their abilities in class and then show them off as part of the Hangar’s Kiddstuff season! A complete roster of training will be combined with rehearsal for the hilarious rock musical, School House Rock, Live! Junior , performing for the public on the Hangar Theatre’s Niederkorn Stage, August 26-28.

Tuition: $800

FINANCIAL AID AVAILABLE The Hangar has a limited scholarship fund, but does not wish to turn anyone away due to financial constraints.
